Don't know if it's the same for everyone, but in my mind one of the things that makes 'bound abilities' seem so difficult is not only 'cause of the veil or the said binds, but also 'cause most of us can't get a clear image in our heads 'bout how something that we never did, or don't remember doing it, should work now.
